"Today" layout for Sugar Maple Paper co..

Hellooooo loves..

I am back again with another layout for the Sugar Maple Paper Co layout that I created with the Cake for Breakfast kit  .. I was pushing myself to use this paper that had that super pretty " Today" title which is a Websters Pages paper ..

Before I started though I decided to cut out some of the paper as the b side had some flowers that I could fussy cut and add to this side of the layout. Which I did under the white cut file of the orchid..WHICH was FREE from the gorgeous Bea Valint which you can find HERE . Her work is stunning and she has a gorgeous selection of free cut files..

SO let me show you what I created with the stunning " Cake for breakfast" kit..
I have also created another layout already with this kit which you can see HERE

To create the background I added a layer of gesso with my fingertips, and once that was dry I added some splashes of watercolour and gold glimmer spray from BoBunny to give it a pretty "messy" look.

Above you can see where I have I layered the fussy cut flower under the cut file to add some interest.

A weekend with " Blessed" layout for Sugar Maple Paper Co.

Heellooooo

Have you heard of the new kit club on the block??

Ohhhh la la they are a brand new kit club, which for the time being are offering this gorgeous kit , and one other, that I have started to play with!! I have an unboxing video at the end of the post which shows you exactly what is in this particular kit "Cake for Breakfast".

So let me show you the very first layout that I have created from this gorgeous kit..

"Blessed" layout by Bernii Miller for Sugar Maple Paper Co using the Cake for Breakfast kit.

I had a couple of these butterfly die cuts laying around on my desk, that were actually from the January Clique Kits - when I was there guest designer.. and I love them.. so thought they would make a perfect addition to this layout.

I just added a little cluster to the middle of the butterflies, and adhered them down with foam tape for some dimension.

I also wanted to hand stitch my title, as I am really enjoying this process right now. I just love the sweet handmade look it adds.

A weekend with " First Day" layout for Scrapping Clearly design team.

Heelloooo

Welcome to the weekend!!!

A love the weekends as it means it is my chance to grab a cuppa and catch up on some crafting.. It also means that I get the chance to "play" and try out some different ideas that have been playing around in my mind..

Like this one..

This is a picture of me way back when on my first day off school.. I was dressed in this sweet traditional Hungarian shirt my mother had for me but I have been waiting to be inspired to create a layout to match.. I then found this free cut file which is based on this exact embroidery pattern on my shirt #winning.

So I used that as the main focus on the page and and teamed it with the Shimelle Lane - Star Shine collection.. which was perfect for this older photo..

I also used these super cool and retro thickers which are apart of the collection..

And this is the whole layout :) I added in some hand stitching to the flower stems and watercolour in the background .. I also mounted the flowers with some thick foam tape to add some dimension to the layout..

I am so happy with how this layout turned out, and I am even happier that I managed to use up this much older photo.. I gave myself a pat on the back for that lol..

Remember if you love this collection as much as me..you can pick up the Star Shine collection HERE

A weekend with " Stand like a pineapple" layout and process video.

Hellloooo..

Welcome to my little part of the world :)

Today I am sharing a layout that I created with some older supplies that I am inspired to get into and create with .. For this layout I was inspired by two main things.. firstly a quote that I found on pinterest and secondly by a magazine called "Love Quilting" that I subscribe too and just happened to arrive in my mailbox this weekend..

SO I thought I would try and combine the two.. and well.. I created the layout below..

If anything perhaps next time I would not create such a large element and title in one layout - but then again I really love how it turned out, and thats all that matters right??

So let me show you what I created and down below I also have the process video to match.

"Be a pineapple" layout by Bernii Miller using Pink Paislee "Hello Sunshine" collection.

Here is the quote that I found on pinterest and totally love!!
I LOVE creating huge titles on my pages .. and should do it more often God knows I have enough alphas here to do it lol..

I love the fact that I was able to mix and match different alphas for the title, but decided to only sew through the chipboard pieces as I found it needed something to anchor down the large pieces.. I mainky used the Pink Paislee " Hello Sunshine" collection for this layout and I was so pleased I was using up my stash .

Yes I know this layout has a lot going on visually, but I do love how it ended up turning out :) I will definitely be trying out another patchwork paper element on page again, I think I will start flipping through my quilting magazines this weekend.

A weekend with " Darcy" layout for the Scrapping Clearly design team.

Heeelloo

Well it is new month and that means it is a new challenge over on the Scrapping Clearly blog this month and I have managed to play along with the sketch challenge..

As you may know .. I am way addicted to the Star Shine collection by Shimelle Lane .. through and through.. this would seriously have to be one of my all time favourite collections.. all the bright primary colours, the patterns and the versatility are just perfect.. So I am creating LOADS of layouts with this collection.. and they all look different to each other.. ( I grabbed these all from the Scrapping Clearly store btw)

So this is what I created for this months sketch challenge... And right at the end I have a process video to boot:)

A weekend with " I love you to the moon" layout for Scrapping Clearly blog.

Heelloooo

Thanks so much for stopping by today..

I have a layout share for you today for the Scrapping Clearly design team and this is a layout that I created with the Shimelle Lane Star Shine collection.

I am so totally in love with this collection and am loving all the boyish layouts I am creating with them.. It was only the other week that Hunter was complaining to me that I am not scrapbooking enough photos of him, so I am trying to rectify that lol..

For this layout I thought I would try my hand at create a somewhat hand cut title.. I was going to free hand it , but then decided against it in the end as I was worried I would end up making it look like Hunter himself created the title.. Which I guess could work lol..

So instead I used a font that is already in the word program called AHARONI and I enlarged it to size 170. I would like to try it again with another layout and perhaps go to a size 220- 250 for a super large title.

So let me show you what I created and at the end of this post I also have a link to the process video on my YouTube channel ..

Adding the soft watercolour background helped to ground the layout and tie it all together.

All the products that I used here, except the watercolours can be found in the Scrapping Clearly shop HERE..
You are going to want this collection as it is so pretty and versatile for both boys and girls.. LOVE it..

A weekend with " Totally Awesome" a layout for #sanrica2016

Hellooooo..

Welcome to this fine Monday morning..

I don't know about you but I really am not in the mood to go to work today.. I have Mondayitis bad.. I would much rather stay at home and do some more crafting.. I am in he mood to start using up all the older collections that I have been holding onto .. I am thinking I will create some videos with using up my stash, as I think that could be just the motivation I need .. so watch this space..

So today I had a chance to sit at my desk and create a layout that was inspired by the #sanrica2016 series that is happening over on YouTube. It was both Erica and Sandra's take on the sketch designed by Kristine Davidson that had me inspired today to play..

SO I created a layout with the Cocoa Vanilla -Totally Rad collection that I managed to purchase form the Scrapbooking and Papercraft expo back in June.

So let me show you what i have created :) and i have a process video at the end also :)

Here is the sketch.. ta da..

And this is what I created..
