I love using banners on my layouts and wanted to find another way to use them so decided to add them to the top of my layout..

I then sprinkled around some ephemera and chipboard pieces to balance out the page.

A weekend with " My World" layout for Scrapping Clearly.

Heellooo

Can you believe that it is the Easter break already???
The year is creeping by already and for us here is Australia we are enjoying the start of our 2 week Easter break. So this is my chance now to catch up on my netflix and scrapbooking.. I am one happy gal..

But today I wanted to share with you a layout I made with the gorgeous Pink Paislee Atlas collection for the Scrapping Clearly team..The bold and vibrant colors here just had me wanting to add layers and pull out some mixed media goodies.

I created a gesso background and used my watercolour paints between layers of stamps and papers and Atlas chipboard pieces.

I love how this turned out and the chipboard pieces and accents were a perfect addition to the "theme" of the layout.

A weekend with " Hello layout for BoBunny"

Helloooooo

Dropping in today to share with you a BoBunny layout that was shared over on their blog a couple of weeks ago.  I was asked to create a layout with the Soiree collection and their new decoupage paper. The amazing fun decoupage paper that has endless possibilities and the new Ornate Doily dies.

I wanted to play around and see how well the decoupage paper would cut with the BoBunny dies. I am happy to share that they work wonderfully together. You need to be gentle separating the die from the paper, but the cuts turns out beautifully. So I decided I would cut a couple of the doily dies to use as matting for my flower cluster.

I thought I would also share a little of my process of how I created the background paper quickly. If you have not dabbled in any mixed media yet you really are missing out on so much fun.
Bo Bunny has just released a ton of new product to make mixed media a breeze for everyone, from spatulas to gesso and everything in between.
So to start with I brushed on a layer of white gesso over the background paper.
Once that dried I added a ton of  Postale Stamps to the background from a top left to bottom right flow. Then over the top I added a layer of Starling Stickable Stencil with modelling paste.

Are you still with me ?? :)

Then to start blending all the layers to the background paper I grabbed my watercolours and added 3 different colours to match. Then it was time to start embellishing. And below you can see the final result. If you look closely at the top left flower cluster you can see the subtle decoupage paper die I cut which is perfect to build a cluster on. I also used the decoupage paper as another layer under my photo.

A weekend with " Fly Away " layout for BoBunny.

Hellooo..

Well last week on the BoBunny facebook page I had a layout share with the new Secret Garden collection.. This collection is gorgeoussssss with al the purple hues and the super pretty florals... For this layout
I teamed it with the Starling stickable stencil which seems to be a favourite of mine lately.

I then seemed to have gone layer crazy.. but how could I not with all these pretty papers in this collection..

To make sure the chipboard pieces really adhered to the mixed media background I added an extra layer of wet adhesive to the back.

I love this collection and I think for the next layout I will pull out the pink and blue from this collection instead and see what I can create..

A weekend with " Smile" layout for SCrapping Clearly.

Hello there...

I am here with you today to share with you with my very first post for Scrapping  Clearly.

I was so excited when my shiny gold parcel from Kylie arrived packed to the brim with My Minds Eye's new collection On Trend 2. The papers ans embellishments in this collection are just S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G . The gorgeous gold foil through the papers and accents match perfectly to both the bold and soft colours in this collection.

I decided I would start with the On Trend 2 rub ons as the basis of my layout and build the layout up from there. They rub on beautifully and react so well with the watercolour I decided to add later on over the top. I managed to use the whole packet on just this layout. Once I started I found it really hard to stop in a good way :)

It was so easy then to decide what to back the layout with . So I leafed through my 12 x 12 paper pack and decided on the Botanical sheet to tie in with the little flowers.

To finish off the layout I added one of the "Smile" acrylic shapes to act as my title. You guys.. they are GOLD... I mean seriously run don't walk.. you NEED these in your life..

Well thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope I have inspired you today to create a little ..

Till next time ..
Much love

A weekend with " Gratitude is the best"

Helloooo

Hello there and welcome to a wonderful Thursday in your part of the world today.I am dropping in today with you to share with a layout I made with the brand new Believe collection that has just been released by BoBunny team . This layout featured on their blog a couple of weeks ago and I thought it time I share it here.

"Blessings" layout by Bernii Miller for BoBunny using the Believe collection

I in particular wanted to use the brand new gold foil velum paper which is just stunning. The vellum piece is a 12 x 12 size with so many cut apart elements. In the picture below you can see how shimmery the gold pieces are and are great to double for layout titles..

I also had so much fun playing with the new "Amen" stamp set which works beautifully alongside this faith based collection.  It has the cutest lightbulb silhouettes and crosses that I could not help scattering them all around the page. I almost needed an intervention.

The chipboard pieces in this collection are just perfect to also scatter around the page and when I laid eyes on this purple piece I just had to make it work somehow into the layout.

This collection is another versatile collection that is perfect to help record those precious moments.
