A weekend with " Polly! Scrap kits layout"

Well today I am sharing something a little bit different from my usual Project Life spreads..I found some time to play along with the main Polly! Scrap ,Watermelon Gelato kit and I had so much fun. The kit is still available in the Polly! shop HERE

I usually end up doing traditional scrapbook pages of the all the extra events I do not use in my Project Life album, or want to add more journalling about. So this layout was on of the extra layouts I wanted to create as an extra.. to record this fun afternoon I had with my children..

I loved the really fun and bright colours that were in this kit and the super cute embellishments ..

I added on the bottom strip of the patterned paper, as it was just to cute not to add in somewhere!! So I simply sewed it to the bottom of the page.  Then while I had the sewing machine out I sewed right over the chipboard embellishment .. Just if you try it make sure you go nice and steady so the needle can cope. ( See below).

How cute are the cherries.. ahhhh swoon ♥

Lastly I used the velum pocket from the kit to create a pocket for a project life card, that I simply turned into my journalling card. I added some ribbon to the top . So simple and a fun interactive element. I have also managed to use almost every patterned paper from the pack on the this layout, all but one pattern, and loved how it all came together. By simply layering, and tucking in small pieces of scraps you can create a fun and bright layout in no time.

I will also be up on the Polly! blog this weekend sharing my project life spread using the same kit.. same bright colours and fun embellishments!! See you then ..

Thanks so much for dropping by and taking a peek.

A weekend with " BoBunny Love Layout"

Heloooooo...

This week we are celebrating all things love over at BoBunny and I have choosen to play with their gorgeous Head over Heels collection.. This collection is pretty, feminine and all sorts of pretty pink :)

As you know I am a little in love with watercolours at the moment, so of course I had to add some watercolour into this layout. For the background I added some Heidi Swapp hearts with some gesso using her new 6 x 6 stencils.

I love using different shades of the same colour when I am using watercolours.. I love the effect that it creates.

I also LOVE to layer on all my layouts if I can . If I don't I feel like the layout is just not complete. This is where I love to use up all the little left over scrap pieces.

I decided to scrapbook about my daughters Speech Impediment as it is something that I love about her. I know at times she gets frustrated by it, but I smile at the thought that this makes her that little more unique than anyone else I know.. and this in my opinion is awesome!!

Thanks so much for dropping by and taking the time to take a look. Please leave a comment and I LOVE to see all your comments.

Till next time

A weekend with " Splish Splash" layout.

Hellooooo....

Well I have a new layout that I wanted to share with you  this Sunday morning:) It is such a gorgeous Summer day here, for some reason it reminded me of this layout and then I realised I have not shared it yet.

This is a layout I created using the " Flourish with a Bling" Up in the Sky sticker pack. I must admit I struggled with the stickers to start with as for the life of me I could not figure out what photos to use . But then one night as I was sorting part of my craft room I came across these gorgeous photos of my Abigail as a baby ( she is almost 6) and I knew these would be perfect for the stickers!!

I was also able to use my beloved water colours and even managed to sneak in some Shimmer texture paint which I just love to use...I even snuck in some awesome BoBuuny Stained Textures stamps , which added the right amount of coffee cup stain to the back ground.

I also always love to add journalling direct to my back ground and ALWAYS do it in my handwriting.

Lately I have a thing for sewing on my titles.. Perhaps it is because I know over time some of the thickers lose their grip and fall off in the page protector..

Thanks so much for taking the time to be here..

A weekend with " BoBunny Home Decor Projects"

Heeellooooo...

Well I am not one to usually create home decor, or off the page project by any means, but this month one of my assignments over at BoBunny was to create a home decor project, and using the Woodland Winter collection..

So I decided to create a Winter Calendar for my daughter to use in the home later on in the year. Abigail is in year one so learning to read. So I though that she would be in charge of telling the date and day during winter, all while learning to read.

So get ready for the photo overload . ha ha

So I have made up little plaques for the 3 months of winter here in Australia.. June, July and August.

I used my Portrait to cut out some miniature doily shapes to help back the numbers on the die.

I had to alternate the days of the week between upper and lower case, to make sure I have enough letters to complete the task.

This cute little draw houses all the months, and I will certainly house the days of the week in here too to help protect alphas.

Thanks so much for taking a peek ..

A weekend with " Polly! Project Life "

Hellooo...

Well today I have a little share for you over on the Polly! blog using their November Pocket Scrapbooking kit.. If you love soft muted tones and pastels then this kit is for you and you can still purchase this kit HERE

I had so much fun creating this spread ( like I always do ) and I decided to carry on the mint green theme based on the doily that comes in the kit. I used my Heidi Swapp colour shine spray and tried to include one mint element on each card.

I love Project Life whole heartedly and love the silly every day stuff I can capture. And the best part is that the photos do not have to be stellar quality. The picture of my son drinking from the bowl is blurry, as I had to take the picture quickly as I have never seen him do that before. So that was a moment I wanted to capture fast.

Here are a couple of close ups..

A weekend with "Polly December Daily"

Heeellloooo there...

I just wanted to share with you a few more pages from December Daily album that I created using the Polly! Scrap Kits December Daily kit available still here if you wanted to do some Christmas scrapping.

These are the next few pages and you can see the album cover HERE and the first few pages HERE ..

I loved making this little confetti pocket and it was so easy to do! I simply popped a heap of sequins from the kit and a couple of Heidi Swapp snow flakes and sewed around the pocket to secure it all.

I love recording all the random things from December.. Especially the pictures I can get with the kiddos!!

I love that both sides of the confetti pocket look good and have the same cool effect!!

I love fussy cutting and am trying to scatter these flowers through out the album to help tie in the album cover an keep some uniformity.

I have also taken pictures of the children's art works and have added them through out the album also. I do not want to forget these and they are just to precious not to record somehow.

Till next time

Much Love
