A weekend with " More Than Words" BoBunny DT work.

Hellloooo....

Welcome back to another BoBunny Design Team layout share..

Today I wanted to share a layout that I made with one of my most treasured photos ever!! It is so precious to me that I have been waiting for the right collection to come along so that I could scrap and frame this layout.

You see this photo is one of my parents with my children . My parents have not seen or been near each other for just over 20 years!! But on this day I managed to get them together and there was no way I was not going to get a photo of them with their grandchildren. So the new Juliet collection was just perfect for this photo!!

I had fun also playing with the BoBunny Coral - Pearlescents and framed the photo and a couple of the rings on the patterned paper to help frame the photo a little more.

To add to the fussy cut flowers from the Juliet papers, I added in some of the older "Christmas Collage" paper- petal flowers to add some dimension with the smaller flowers!! Are they just not the cutest :)

I am so in love with this pretty and classic collection!! The large florals and pretty colour combos have my heart swooning all over the place!!

Remember if you love the look of this paper collection make sure you ask your local scrapbooking store or online store and stalk for the "Juliet" collection ha ha..

Thanks so much again for stopping by today...

Much love

A weekend with " Week 25 Project Life"

Hellooooo...

Well it has been a while between Project Life posts, and a while since I have sat down to play some catchup!!

It was awesome to finally get back into my PL album..
I forgot how much I missed it so am keen over my winter school holidays to try and madly to some catch up!!

So for this week's spread I decided to use the newer Confetti Core Kit which I just adore for its bright colours!!

I teamed the kit with bits off my desk.. Jillibean yellow alpha stickers, Studio Calico wood veneer heart shapes and Twine+Ink yellow stars..

I forgot how satisfying it is to complete a full week of my Project Life.. and I miss how the kids instanly hover over me to see the photos that I have scrapped..

I also had two extra inserts for this week.. I can never part with any photos.. So my albums always become insanely thick ..

A weekend with " Mates XoXo" DT layout for Couture Creations.

Helloooo

Today I wanted to share with you my Couture Creations Design Team work  that was just featured in their Creative Inspiration magazine. ( Issue 9). It features the brand new Australiana Collection which have just hit the shelves hot off the manufacturing press at the Scrapbooking expo.

I used a couple of the new dies to complete this layout, including the Eucalyptus and Gum Leaves Die, teamed with the Gugubarra/Kookaburra die.

To add a little shimmer to the page , I used some of my American Crafts WOW! glitter in Sunflower- to add to the bottom of the gumnuts..

I had some leftover gum leaves , so decided to add a card to the mix and created this little cluster.

Well thanks so much for stopping by today and please go and check out the Couture Creations site for all their new die releases :)

A weekend "1st Photo Shoot" DT layout for BoBunny.

Hellloooooo..

Welcome to Monday my loves!!
We are now officially in the second half of the year.. as much as I would like to celebrate this mark on the calendar, I am instead left wondering where the heck the time has gone!! ha ha .. Andddd it means that I am now on the slippery slope towards Christmas .. yikes!! I am not ready to think about that yet.. really I am not!

So in the mean time let me show you my latest BoBunny design team layout that I created for their blog last week. I was asked to create a Misc Me spread using their brand new Penny Emporium collection.

This particular collection does not come with its own Misc Me cards, but some of the papers within the collection are perfect to cut apart to be used for your pocket pages.

I just love pocket scrapping especially when I have random leftover photos from an event -  but those photos are not enough for a stand alone layout, or you might have just a few too many to make a single or double page layout. That is exactly what I had going on with these photos - I had too little for a traditional 2 page layout. This is where the Misc Me is perfect for those odd number of photos.

To grunge up the layout a little I used my soft sandpaper to rough up the edges, then with watered down white paint I "whitewashed" the edges- and then finally went around the edges with some walnut stain ink.

I also used the fun new Borders Stickable Stencils with the gold glitter paste, in random places to add some more sparkle. This matched beautifully with the gold/copper accents that are found in the Penny Emporium chipboard pieces.

A weekend with " Hello" Design Team work for Couture Creations.

#couture creations

Hello and welcome .

I am just popping in this morning to share with you a simple card that I whipped up in a jiffy for the Couture Creations blog .I based this card on both of the paper releases from Couture Creations  Vintage Rose Garden  and Hearts Ease .

Hello card for Couture Creations by Bernii Miller using the Vintage Rose collection and nesting dies.

Let me show you how in a few simple steps this card can be made.

I firstly used the new white flower Cottage Pollen Flower with my Heidi Swapp colour shine in Coral. It is such a pretty colour and that is what I based the rest of the card around.

I then decided to team the Fleur- de Frame nesting die with the Pansy Tags patterned paper from the Hearts Ease collection - Pansy Tags. But I liked the softer look of the B side and thought it would match perfectly with the Vintage Rose Garden collection.

I then used the die piece as a guide to how wide I would create the card. Using my Couture Creations trimmer it was easy to measure out the length of the card and score in the fold .

Then using the awesome precision glue pen I was able to neatly adhere down the die , even on the fine and intricate parts of the die cut.

Then to add a little shimmer and sparkle to the card I outlined the die cut with some of the Crystalina glitter glue from the Glitzin' Glamour range.

I then rummaged through my stash and added some twine and muslin to help create the soft and feminine look.

a weekend with " Heidi Swapp Mini"

Hellooooo...

Well a few weeks ago I decided to grab some of the new Heidi Swapp wanderlust goodies,. To be honest I really was trying to stay away from this collection, as I have SOOOOOO much Heidi Swapp stuff here already and am really wanting to use what I have here on hand! But not to long ago I had a photo shoot with my children and wanted to created a special album that held most of those photos from that day.

So let me know show you what I created with this gorgeous album and a few pieces from the collection :)

♥ Grab a cuppa as this is photo heavy ♥

I also added in elements from my Heidi Swapp mini PL kits.. I simply choose some cards, added on the hole punch and clipped in the cards as is..

I LOVE the new dies that Heidi Swapp has released!! They cut beautifully and especially when they are teamed with gold foil cardstock.. totally a match made in heaven!!

I loved that I was able to pull this mini album super fast by using most of the matching Heidi Swapp embellishments!! It  just took out so much for the guess work - and gets these bigger project done and dusted fast!

Thank you also to Prue from Lucia Photography for the awesome photos that she captured of myself and the children! I total adore them ♥

Well thanks so much for stopping by today!
Till next time

Much love
Bernii xx
